A lineup of four Iranian films has been set to be screened at the Third Eye Film Festival in India.

‘Mina’s Option’ by Kamal Tabrizi, Behrouz Shoeibi’s ‘Cyanide’, ‘Soyuq’ directed by Ark Brothers and Mohammad Rahmanian’s ‘Bench Cinema’ are the movies to vie at the 16th edition of the festival.

Set in 1980s, ‘Mina’s Option’ narrates story of the happy marriage of Mina and Mehran, which is broken in the wake of mistrust and finally infidelity.

Being a historical picture, ‘Cyanide’ underlines the choice between life and death, heroic living or graceful dying.

‘Soyuq’ is about a family who is facing financial difficulties and due to this their 8-year-old son is constantly anxious. His social anxiety forces him to continuously hide under his mother’s chador (long black veil).

‘Bench Cinema’ narrates the story of a film lover who rents illegal videotapes and gets arrested. While in prison, he meets a voice actor whom gives him an address to the Chamber of Treasure that holds a great collection of classic films.

One of the most credible festivals, the international film festival screens works from different countries including Iran, India, Nepal, China, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, the US, Egypt and Morocco.

Held in December, the film festival holds various sections including best short and feature film sections, Spectrum Asia, Films By Women Film-makers, European Connection and Asian Film Culture Award.

The Third Eye Asian Film festival awards filmmakers who make efforts to popularize Asian cinema in the world.

The festival is slated to be held on December 21-28, 2017, in the Indian city of Mumbai.
